Manchester New Years Eve Fireworks 2014

As anyone who keeps up with our blog post, or indeed living in the Manchester area will know from past experience, this City has had more than its fair share of letdowns, particularly when it comes to funding for the residents New Year’s Eve celebrations.

This year, however, they have just confirmed that there is indeed going to be a fireworks display after all.

They have changed the venue from its original location outside of the Town Hall in Albert Square to Piccadilly Gardens following the return of the big wheel, which was dismantled 18-months ago for the Olympic Celebrations is currently being re-erected in time to take passengers right through till the wee small hours.

You are able to keep it low maintenance by simply popping along to see the fireworks or you could go for the full-on VIP experience with Champagne, chocolates and interactive TV screens.

More details of the transport etc will be made available over the next few days but we are delighted to learn that the people of Manchester will get the sky fillers that they deserve.
