Massive Firework Shell

This beastie is one of the last firework shells of its size to be launched in the State of California as the regulations were changed to allow nothing larger than 16 inches for possible Health and Safety issues.

If you move the video footage onto 29 seconds and watch the massive shell heading skywards, you will notice the huge tail in its wake and then the initial burst is a beautiful white-hot centred gold burst which spreads out from the centre with super bright glowing silver/white tips changing to a lovely lilac colour and ending up a brilliant white ball aglow.

Since the making of this film, some states have been given permission to launch bigger shells whereas, in some other states, fireworks and even sparklers are banned totally. What a shame that for the stupidity of one or two can affect a whole area forever.
