Dulux Lets Colour Awards With Fireworks

Annually, the massive international paint brand Dulux have been holding the ‘Colour Awards’ since 2012 thanks to the lets colour project.

The rationale behind it is to recognise the use of colour in everyday life and how we see it. They are looking at the use of colour in everything from Fireworks to fashion and flowers to fun runs and seeing which we think deserves the award.

There is a judging panel from all avenues of commerce including fashion, beauty, arts, design and technology and they have short-listed the following:

• Edinburgh Military Tattoo
• The Holi One Festival
• The Great Pavillion – Chelsea Flower Show
• The Colour Run
• The Orchid Festival – Kew Gardens
• London New Year’s Eve Fireworks

The winner of last year’s Colour Moment of the Year went to the fabulous production team for the London 2012 opening ceremony. It was of course absolutely staggering and a full spectrum of colour to boot.

We, of course, are very slightly biased and would dearly love the London New Year’s Eve Fireworks to win but this year the general public are able to cast their vote.

Come on Britain – let's see more fireworks.
