Ford and Fireworks. A Perfect Combo.

There is great news for the folk of Detroit as Ford Motor Company announces that they have agreed to a multi-million dollar sponsorship deal to support the fabulous annual fireworks display for the coming 3 years.

This year marks the 55th year of this event on 24th June 2013 when the City and the surrounding districts are treated to a full day of entertainment including:

• Archery
• Geocaching
• Treasure hunting called geocaching using GPS
• Sand Sculptures
• Tall ships
• Carnival and fairground rides and attractions
• More than 75 street performers including headliners like Kansas (carry on my wayward son) The Whispers (and the beat goes on – my absolute track of all time) Boys II Men (I’ll make love to you) and the brilliant Thornetta Davis who worked alongside such greats as Gladys Knight and Etta James

Admission to the event is just $3.00 and the fireworks are at a very specific 10:06pm and will be handled by several thousand technicians who will spend several days setting up this majestic display.

If you live in the area or get the chance to visit, let us have some photo’s or video footage and we will include them on our website.
